INHALE | Organic loose leaf herbal tea blend | respiratory & lung support

$10.00

This blend was born from time spent in Sedona, where the beauty of the landscape was accompanied by smoke drifting in from nearby wildfires.

It was a reminder of how deeply our lungs connect us to the world around us and how important it is to nourish them, especially during seasonal changes or times of environmental stress.

We are encouraged to get outside more, breath in the fresh air, but what happens when our air quality is poor and it can cause harm to our lungs?

Some of us may not be able to completely avoid the outdoors, or stay in our houses when natural disasters are creating unhealthy air conditions so that is where herbal medicine can come in and support us!

Crafted with four time-honored botanicals, this comforting infusion supports respiratory wellness while offering soothing, nourishing herbs traditionally used to help the body adapt to changing environments.

Taste Profile: slightly sweet and nutty, with hints of tartness from the elder berries and spice from the ginger

Brewing Instructions: Add 1 heaping teaspoon of loose herbs per 8 ounces of water to a reusable tea bag, strainer or diffuser and steep at 212°F for 10-15 minutes. This are heartier plants and require a longer steep for maxiumum benefits. My favorite way to prepare is by adding the herbs to a carafe (about 4 servings worth), boil water and pour over. Let it steep and cool to about room temperature before straining and placing in the fridge and having cups ready to go!

When to Enjoy:

  • During times of poor air quality

  • When experiencing seasonal allergies

  • After a cold or flu (Astragalus is not to be used during an illness)

  • If you work a job with a high risk of respiratory hazards (construction, firefighter, manufacturing, painter, cleaner, etc.)

HAND-CRAFTED | CAFFEINE-FREE

Servings: ~12-13 cups

Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) - known for its soft, velvety leaves, mullein has been treasured in traditional Western herbalism as a gentle ally for the lungs and respiratory system. Herbalists have long turned to mullein to help soothe the airways, support comfortable breathing, and encourage the body's natural process of clearing mucus. Rich in soothing mucilage and protective plant compounds, mullein is especially appreciated during seasonal transitions, times of environmental stress, or whenever the lungs could use a little extra nourishment.

Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) - a deeply respected adaptogenic root with a long history in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Traditionally used to strengthen the body's natural defenses and build resilience over time, astragalus helps support a balanced immune system while promoting vitality and overall wellness. Rather than offering quick, temporary support, it is valued as a nourishing herb that helps the body adapt to everyday stressors, making it a favorite for long-term wellness routines. (Astragalus is traditionally used as a preventative herb and is generally not recommended during an active illness.)

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) - for generations, elderberries have been gathered as a seasonal wellness staple, celebrated for their naturally occurring antioxidants, flavonoids, and deep purple pigments known as anthocyanins. Traditionally used to support immune and respiratory wellness, elderberry offers gentle nourishment during seasonal changes and times when the body is exposed to environmental stress. Its rich, fruity flavor also brings a comforting depth to herbal tea blends.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) - warming, invigorating, and aromatic, ginger has been used around the world for thousands of years to support whole-body wellness. Traditionally valued for promoting healthy circulation and digestion, ginger is also appreciated in herbalism for supporting respiratory comfort and encouraging the body's natural response to seasonal challenges. Its warming nature helps create a soothing, comforting cup while beautifully complementing other herbs in respiratory-focused blends.
